It was an honor and privilege to be your guests last night and we were treated like kings. I only hope that after I retire that I can find a way to give back to our fellow veterans like you have. If there is anyway that I can support you in the future please to not be afraid to ask.
I have been at this for going on 35 years now and have held multiple commands. What you and your members do really makes a big difference for service members. I can only hope that your organization will flourish and continue to persevere as there are still many more soldiers on the way home.
You are all true patriots and you have earned my utmost respect.

Don’t let anyone ever tell you a soldier doesn’t like Girl Scout cookies. Last Thursday, we delivered 40 movie tickets furnished by American Legion Post 177 in Fairfax and 100 boxes of Girl Scout cookies to the soldiers of the Warrior Transition Battalion at Ft. Belvoir. The cookies were gone in 24 hours!!!
Thank you for your continued support.
We had our annual holiday party for the soldiers and families of the Warrior Transition Battalion on January 22, 2014 at American Legion Post 177 in Fairfax. We had a great time and I would like to thank Rickey Pell of Captain Pell’s Crab House for the Snow Crab legs and Blue Crabs, the Members of Post 177 and the Warfighters MC for the assistance and support and everyone that donated gifts and food for the soldiers.

Want to wish all our supporters a very merry Christmas. We are down to our last $300 for the year and want to thank everyone for their financial support. Our last major gift was for a soldier stationed at the Warrior Transition Battalion at Fort Belvoir. Her 23 year old son was not eligible for airfare assistance from our military or Luke’s Wings . Friends of the Wounded Veterans was able to gather the $800 needed to fly her son here to spend two weeks with his mother for Christmas and New Years.
Because of the holidays and our limited funding until January, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in donating AMC movie tickets and/or gift cards to restaurants. This has been our most popular endeavor and the soldiers need these year round. If you are interested, you can get these to me and I will hand deliver them to Fort Belvoir. Mr. Sean Keller will be happy to acknowledge your gift on his letter head which would allow you to get the full tax deduction.
Thank you and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Just got a call from our contact at the Warrior Transition Battalion at Ft. Belvoir, Va.
Because of your contributions we are providing $1,000 in gift cards to help two soldiers get back to their families for Thanksgiving. Because of their situations they are not able to fly and are forced to drive.
On behalf to these two soldiers I want to thank everyone for their contributions and support.
Thanks to everyone’s contributions the Warrior Transition Battalion now has an official photographer. We got a call that a new soldier at the battalion wanted to do this but didn’t have a camera. He does now. FOTWV bought a Canon EOS Rebel camera and Laughing Bunny Photography contributed some extra goodies. Thank you for everyone’s support!
I would like to thank John Jennings, owner of Jennings-on-site-Services, for repairing a soldier’s transmission at no cost so she could travel back to Ohio to visit her family for Thanksgiving. Thank you John!
